Practice Website.
We made a website to show what kind of things we could make and put into our actual website when we make it.

Test shots
We went into the photography studio, to take some test shots for our cover, so we could test the lights and what backdrops we could use.
When we did these test shots, we tested the different light set ups and we just wanted to test the camera for when we take pictures of our band.

Pitch Feedback
After we presented our ideas, and we got feedback which we will use to improve our ideas to help us reach our highest potential.
We have to put more focus on our costumes, and research how current alternite artists dress and how we can use their styles in our music video.
We also need to plan and find our props making sure we have the appropriate props for the genre we chose.
We have to find our locations so we can do a location recce and do risk assessments of our location.
The main thing we have to improve is our story line/concept because we don't really have a narritve yet, so we need to make make a narritve so we don't have just a performance based video.

Possible Locations.
we went into the woods, so we could look for some possible locations and took some pictures of places we could shoot our music video
Prelim Digipak
This is an example of a digipak we could create, but ours would be a 6 panels and be more related to our artist and our album. It was created on photoshop with a downloaded font and images from google image.
Chosen Track
We decided as a group to go with the song Now by Paramore. This fits in with the genre of alternative rock and will also fit in well with location and props we are able to use.

Letter to Music Label - Warner Music Group
Dear Fueled By Ramen, Warner Music Group
We are writing to ask permission to use the song Now by Paramore to create a non-profit music video for our A2 Media Studies coursework. It will purely be for educational purposes but will be made public for a short amount of time for examination purposes. We chose this song because we believe it is the best song for us to reach our highest potential grades.

Music Video Synopsis
Our music video is going to be mainly performance based. Most of it is going to be footage of our band playing in the wood both during the day and during the night. We are also going to have shots of our lead female singer walking through the woods singing. We are also going to film the band riding bikes through the woods and along a road at night, while the singer leads them and sings. Towards the end of the song, when it is night time we are going to have a shot of one of the drums with a light underneath it and powder paint on top so when it is hit all the powder fly’s up into the air. Throughout the video we will have various shots of each member individually playing their instrument/singing as well as shots of them all performing as a group.

Possible Track
After deciding we wanted to do Alternate Rock, we decided we wanted a band with a female singer, this narrowed our search a great deal. There are no where near as many female led alternate rock bands as there are male led ones.
Some of our possible choices were as followed.
Evanescence - Bring Me To Life, This song was an obvious choice, it had the rock guitars and drums and the female singer, the only problem we had, it also incorporated a male singer and it is a really well known song, most people know this song even if they don't like this type of music.
The Pretty Reckless - Make Me Wanna Die- This song is sung completely by a female singer, so it is already more suitable for our choice, but it's slightly too heavy for a song we want to do, it's more rock than alternate rock.
Paramore - Now - Paramore are fairly well know and very alternate but some of their songs like now from their latest album are not as well known, Paramore have had a few strong images over the years, but due to their changing image it would be easy to create a new image for them without ruining or people have preconceived ideas about their image.

Chosen Genre
After some discussions in our group we have chosen to do Alternative Rock.
As a group we have conflicting music tastes, one of us favoured electronic, one pop punk and the other rock.
We discussed how electronic generally has little words and therefore would be hard to learn and even harder to make a performance based video to, pop punk and rock are too well known, we wanted a song which was known by some to not too widely know that everyone will know, we want to be able to create a band and image instead of using a bands pre created image, we decided making an alternate rock music video would be best for us as a group as we already have ideas of how to create this new image and know we will be able to make the video performance based.
